Welcome to Pescadero's McCormick House Inn
The historic McCormick House Inn sits serenely on the banks of Pescadero Creek in the sleepy, seaside village of Pescadero, California. Surrounded by farmland and gently rolling hills, miles of pristine beaches and coastal redwood forests, Pescadero has been a favorite Bay Area destination for more than a century.
We're only an hour from San Francisco and the Silicon Valley, but you'd never know it. There are no freeways or traffic jams here - unless it's a queue of folks outside of Archangeli's Market buying up the freshly baked artichoke bread. We don't have shopping malls or big box stores, but if you are looking forantiques, local crafts and other lovely things, you will enjoy perusing Made in Pescadero, Luna Sea, Downtown Local, Stage Road Shops and Topia. If you're a serious bargain hunter, you'll love trolling for treasure at our little local Thrift.
Pescadero's Historic McCormick House Inn is located in the heart of downtown Pescadero...a leisurely one-block stroll to local restaurants and shops.
We are a tiny inn, with only two rooms, which occupy the whole of the upstairs of our lovely historic property. Our rooms can be booked individually (with private bath) or together, as a "Suite" (with shared bath). All rates are based on "double-occupancy".
Check-in is typically at 4:00 pm, but we can sometimes accommodate early arrivals. Late arrivals are fine too, but please let us know when (more or less) you expect to arrive, so we won't worry. Please contact us 24 hours prior to your scheduled check-in to confirm the availability of an early arrival.
To confirm a reservation, we process a deposit equal to the first night of your reserved stay, or a deposit of 50% for an extended stay.
We are a non-smoking establishment and all interior areas are all non-smoking. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged if guests smoke in any of the interior rooms or hallways.
To confirm a reservation, if you have reserved a one, two or three-night stay, we charge in-full, in advance. For stays of three or more nights, we charge a deposit equal to 50% of the extended stay.
We do not issue refunds. For changes or cancellation of a confirmed reservation more than 14 days in advance of a guest's scheduled arrival, we will email a rain check equal to the charge or deposit processed at the time of the reservation, less a $15.00 cancellation fee.
For cancellations made less than 14 days in advance of a guest's reservation, no rain check will be issued, unless we are able to re-rent our rooms for the reserved nights. If we are successful in re-booking these dates (all, or in part), we will email a rain check of equal value, less a $35 late cancellation fee.
Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of late arrival or early departure.
In the event of a no show, we reserve the right to process the credit card on file, if there is a balance due, for all the nights of the reserved stay.
We thank our guests for understanding that a small Inn is dependent on its ability to make advance reservations, and even with a last minute booking, we may have declined other inquiries that we are unable to recapture.
While the McCormick House Inn does not "officially" take pets, we do make exceptions for really adorable and well-mannered "little" fur babies. (No wooly mammoths, please, even if they are house-trained!)
We charge a *non-refundable pet deposit of $25 per pet-per night. This charge covers the additional cleaning and laundering required to make ours rooms ready for our next pet-free guests. Please note that pets may not be left unattended in guest rooms. Although, we require that pets be attended at all times, pets may be allowed off-leash on property at guests' sole discretion, risk and liability.
*For extended stays of three or more nights, we will issue a partial refund of 50% of the otherwise "non-refundable pet deposit", if there are no incidents of damage to rooms, linens or carpets.
